It is often necessary to reconstruct fire and accident scenes from multiple sources of information. Computer generated, three-dimensional views are an effective way to assimilate and evaluate this information. Computer drawings are also useful in demonstrating merits or inadequacies of hypothetical ignition sequences and hypothetical failure modes. An important
advantage of computer generated drawings is the ability to render selected components invisible permitting "x-ray" viewing of internal structures.
